The Ophidiophile Professor Office

Designed the office of a biology professor who is deeply obsessed with snakes. Room is filled with set dressing that reflects this interest, such as carpets with snake pattern, and a hanging snake skeleton. Room is well-organized, with bookshelves labeled and arranged by topic, filled with books on serpent biology and behavior. There is also a shelf dedicated to preserving snake specimens in jars, showcasing different species.

However, in the bottom corner of the room, a vivarium can be seen with the door open, suggesting a snake has recently escaped, adding an element of chaos to the otherwise orderly space.

One of the most striking features of the office is a custom-built 10-foot jar filled with formalin, preserving the body of a rare serpent. The jar also has compartments for an egg incubator on the left and a space for a rare snake skeleton on the right, creating an overall effect of a man consumed by his passion for snakes and the scientific study of them, but also highlighting the chaos and unexpected elements that come with working with live animals.
